After independence, India needed an education system that would free its citizens from a colonial mindset and imbue them with love for the motherland and a deep sense of patriotism. Such an education was essential to cultivate in students pride and faith in India’s ancient traditions, glorious history, ancestral wisdom, and noble values.
Unfortunately, the education system that became prevalent after independence moved toward Western imitation instead of preserving Indian values, thereby causing harm to the original spirit of Indian education.
The most important period of life is from birth to the age of six where most of the learning happens initiates this holistic journey which strives to have a profound effect on the child’s future by providing the right context of learning through the IEYC.

Computer classes in schools are important for well- rounded education Students at SVM are instructed on the basics of computer use as early as Class 1. Educational software is presented in a game-like format to entertain the younger students while they learn key concepts.
Math Lab provides opportunity for children to enjoy Mathematics, understand its basic structure, pose and solve meaningful problems. It enables the student to learn Mathematics with the help of concrete objects and to exhibit its relatedness with everyday life.
SVM has an extensive science lab which provides an experimental foundation for the concepts introduced. It enables the learners to familiarize themselves with experimental apparatus, scientif ic methods applied, and to make careful observations and draw conclusions in relation to the experiment.”
In today’s competitive world, children need the skill sets, which are beyond subject knowledge and require concentration assimilation and retention. At SVM its importance is manifested with the installation of the Tata Class Edge Boards in every class room.
Inclusion of games in our curriculum of studies is, very important for the physical & mental wellbeing of our students. The music classes in our school serves as a platform for creating tiny musicians of all genres and skill levels. It enables them to learn vocals, rhythm and pitch in singing and to use.
